Overview This intern supports the U.S. executive team by delivering data-driven insights that inform enterprise growth decisions. This role is highly analytical and hands-on, focused on modeling, reporting, and visualization, with direct exposure to senior leadership and the firm’s U.S. growth strategy. The internship is designed for candidates interested in business analytics, strategy, commercial real estate, or consulting, and provides experience working with real business data to influence executive decision-making. The base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is set at $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities Build and maintain analytical models in Excel to support growth strategy, client prioritization, and market analysis Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and visualizations used by U.S. leadership Aggregate, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources Support preparation of executive-level presentations and strategy materials Translate data and analysis into clear insights and concise storylines for leadership review Assist in ongoing reporting, ad hoc analysis, and strategic research projects Learn the firm’s service lines, business units, and markets to contextualize analysis and insights Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, formulas, pivot tables; VBA a plus) Experience with or strong interest in Power BI (or similar BI tools) Comfortable working with large datasets and synthesizing insights Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior audiences Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how data informs business strategy Workplace Type On-Site Our Equal Opportunity Commitment Our Equal Opportunity Commitment Avison Young is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within our workforce.
